“There is something you should understand about the way I work. When you need me but do not want me, then I must stay. When you want me but no longer need me, then I have to go.”

About StoneLark
A previous colleague once referred to me as Nanny McPhee, based on the quote above — and it stuck with me.
The quote actually goes on to say, “it’s rather sad, really, but there it is.”
I don’t think it’s sad at all.
Because being there when you are needed, and then seeing people grow to a place where they can stand alone, is a beautiful thing.
It was out of this thinking that I founded StoneLark Group Ltd.
With a background as an athlete, and later as a leader across the property industry, I’ve led teams through periods of success and challenge — ups and downs, stability and change.
My greatest enjoyment came from delivering projects that streamlined organisations and freed teams to exceed their previously held ideas of what “good” looks like.
I’ve also had the privilege of bringing businesses together through acquisition in a way that allows sellers to exit knowing their legacy will live on, while buyers unlock the full benefit of integration — creating something stronger that represents the best of both worlds.
As I grew and matured, I learned many important lessons.
The most important of all was understanding where I add value to people, teams, and organisations.
For me, adding value is the key to happiness.
Doing something meaningful is what matters.
And there is nothing more satisfying than setting a goal, defining a roadmap, and executing it.
So where do I add value?
In motivating individuals —
challenging them to believe their potential is unlimited, supporting them to become the best version of themselves, and having a lot of fun along the way.
In building teams —
engaging people around a shared goal and ensuring the output of the group is more than the sum of its individual parts.
In understanding, analysing, and defining other people’s goals —
laying the path between where they are and where they want to be,
and holding myself and others to account so that we deliver on those goals together.
It was through this honest assessment of myself that StoneLark was formed.
As a result, StoneLark offers mentoring, coaching, and consultancy to individuals and teams — designed to challenge beliefs about potential, map the route to growth, and provide personal and collaborative support throughout the journey.
Thank you —
I really mean that.
