“There is something you should understand about the way I work. When you need me but do not want me, then I must stay. When you want me but no longer need me, then I have to go.

About StoneLark

A previous colleague once referred to me as Nanny McPhee based on the quote above; and it stuck with me. The quote actually goes on to say “it’s rather sad, really, but there it is”. It isn’t sad though if you think about it, because to be there when you are needed and then to see people grow to a place where they can standalone, is a beautiful thing.

It is out of this thinking that I founded StoneLark Group LTD. With a background as an athlete and then a leader across the property industry; I’ve led teams through period of success and challenge, ups and down, stability and change. My greatest enjoyment came from delivering on projects which streamlined organisations, and freed up teams up to exceed their previously held ideas of what good looks like; as well as bringing businesses together through acquisition in such a way that sellers can exit knowing that their legacy can live on; and buyers can unlock the full benefit of bringing together businesses and ensuring the resulting entity represents the best of both worlds.

As I grew and matured, I learnt many important lessons. The most important lesson was where I add value to people, teams and organisations.

For me adding value is the key to happiness; doing something meaningful is what matters; and there is nothing more satisfying that setting a goal, defining a roadmap, and executing it.

So where do I add value?

In motivating individuals, challenging them to believe their potential is unlimited, supporting them to be the best version of themselves, and having a lot of fun getting there.

In building teams, engaging them in a shared goal and ensuring that the output of the team is more than just the sum of the individual parts.

In understanding, analysing and defining other people’s goals, laying the path between where they are and where they want to be, and holding myself and others to account to ensure that we deliver on those goals together.

It is out of this critical assessment of myself that I formed StoneLark.

As a result, StoneLark offers mentoring, coaching and consultancy to individuals and teams – designed to challenge your beliefs about your potential, map the route to growth, and provide personal and collaborative support throughout your journey.

Thank you (I really mean that)
